A Walkabout in the Landscape 3 hrs $40 per person
One of my other personal passions is teaching and sharing my 30+ years of photography experience with students of all ages and skill levels. Not only do I enjoy interacting with the students, I also found that I frequently learn something new about photography during this interaction. One of the best ways to teach is in a hands on environment such as a workshop.
My first workshop offering is a "A Walkabout in the Landscape" at Merkle Wildlife Sanctuary. During the workshop, I will cover your DSLR camera basics, especially the functions of the aperture and shutter speed, but will ultimately focus on aesthetics and composition in photographing the natural environment. I will incorporate examples of various photographic techniques that will help you create unique, one of a kind images. Workshops are Sundays, weather permitting, from 8:00am until 11am and we meet at the Merkle Wildlife Center at 11704 Fenno Rd. Upper Marlboro, MD 20772. Please dress in layers and bring your water bottle. Cost is an introductory $40 per person and you can register by calling 301.332.8905 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
